After a historic two-month mission to the International Space Station, retired Marine Corps Col. Douglas Hurley and Robert Benkhen splashed down Aug. 2 aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Endeavour.
Before joining NASA, Col. Hurley was a Marine Corps fighter and test pilot.
This Launch America mission marks the return of human spaceflight from U.S. soil for the first time since 2011.
