Amanda Rauh-Bieri, a law associate at Miller Canfield in Grand Rapids, Michigan, testified Oct. 15 in the final day of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing for Judge Amy Coney Barrett. She spoke in support of Barrett’s confirmation to the high court. The hearing came about three weeks before Election Day. The judge did not appear before the committee on the final day of the hearing. Instead, both Republicans and Democrats called outside witnesses to speak to her record and approach to the law.
