Rescuers try to save stranded baby whale in Thames river | DW News

This is London’s ‘Free Willy’. The baby whale was stuck in the River Thames in a device used to raise and lower boats. Using lots of water and a rescue float, rescuers finally set him free. The whale is believed to be a baby Minke.
He should be in the North Sea, not in London — So far from home, and
away from his mother, fears are growing for his survival. The whale is now
being looked after by veterinarians.
