Mail-In Voting Works, Just Ask This Swing State

Arizona was one of the first states to adopt no excuse, absentee voting back in 1996. The man who ran the early voting program back then in Maricopa County still works there; and he says their county was uniquely prepared to handle any surges in mail in voting during the pandemic this year. Elections officials and the president of a local ballot printing company all agree: if counties haven’t ordered their mail in ballots by the beginning of August, there won’t be enough time to print them if they change their mind later this fall.
