STORYLINE:
People in Peru flocked to visit a photo exhibition on Thursday showcasing a visit of late Pope Francis to the country in 2018.
More than 20 photographers participated in covering the pope’s visit to Peru.
One of the photographers whose work was featured in the exhibit, Carlos Lezama, said photographing the pope was a ‘privilege’.
Pope Francis, died Monday at age 88 after a stroke.
After three days of public viewing, a funeral Mass including heads of state will be held Saturday in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican.
The pope will then be buried in a niche within the St. Mary Major Basilica, near his favorite Madonna icon.
