Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week kicked off Wednesday.
On its inaugural day, some of the top names in the bridal fashion industry presented their new collections.
Among them was Wang Feng, one of the most influential designers in China.
Wang said of this year’s collection, “Originally, a white wedding dress belongs to the West. I tried to reflect that and at the same time add a touch of Chinese culture. A hint of them in this collection.”
Every year, Wang travels the world looking for new materials and gathers inspiration.
The designs displayed bold color combinations that certainly defied convention.
Another brand present was Serina Bridal.
The UK- based fashion house presented elegant designs, meant to capture the glamour and beauty of a modern woman, from daring and modern options to more classic and stylish silhouettes.
Their designs are famous for their attention to detail as well as outstanding craftmanship.
Mark Badgley and James Mischka, designers who joined forces in 1988, and are known for their red carpet gowns, also presented a bridal collection.
The Atelier is a fashion house that gathers a group of designers under the tutelage of CEO Yew Loh and legendary Professor Jimmy Choo.
The much-anticipated bridal collection from fashion house Vivienne Westwood will be presented Thursday evening.
Barcelona Bridal Week runs through Saturday.
