"The title for this year for the Art Dubai Digital section is, ‘After the Technological Sublime’. It will be an opportunity to move beyond the technologies that are surrounding us on a daily basis, from artificial intelligence to virtual reality to quantum technology to robotics and try to reflect on those technologies, and worry (about) the impact that they have and the connection they have to wider issues that are defining our time. Issues that are connected to the environment, to politics, but also to society."

"This year we’re super happy because since the day that we opened Art Dubai, it has been an amazing success, both in visitors and in sales. I think the fair is going really, really well. And I think that Art Dubai after 19 years – because next year we’ll be celebrating the 20th anniversary – is already part of the DNA of the city. It is a project that is a must for everyone to come and see. And it’s a place where not only people meet, but they also exchange ideas and projects. So, I think it’s like the best reflection of what’s going on in Dubai."

"Even (though) this is our first time, very first time exhibiting here, we still receive a lot of attention and inquiries from different kinds of collectors, curators and audience. They’re very interested in Chinese artist Wang Tiande, which is a very good sign for us.”

STORYLINE:
The 19th Art Dubai took place in the city of skyscrapers, with digital art visibly dominating the show this year.
Visitors explored large-scale installations and interacted with the tech-driven artwork which included digital screens and mirrors.
Art Dubai launched in 2022 Art Dubai Digital, a section dedicated to digital arts.
The three-day show ran from Apr. 18 to Apr. 20 under the theme: "After the Technological Sublime."
It is an opportunity to reflect on the technology that surrounds and "move beyond" it, said the curator of Art Dubai Digital 2025, Gonzalo Herrero Delicado.
The art show that started out in 2007 is marking its 20th exhibition year next year.
It is "already part of the DNA of the city. It is a project that is a must for everyone to come and see," said Pablo Del Val, the artistic director of Art Dubai.
This year’s exhibition features over 120 galleries from 65 countries, with 30 first-time participants.
