STORYLINE:
Argentinians mourned their countryman Pope Francis on Monday following his death, aged 88.
"He’s a beacon of humanity for everyone and especially for Argentina," said Agustin Hartridge after lighting a candle on the steps of Buenos Aires Cathedral.
"I hope we take on board his message and and ewe come together as a people and stop fighting so much and end inhumane acts against people, above all the most humble, the retired and the workers," he added.
Francis was history’s first Latin American pontiff who charmed the world with his humble style and concern for the poor but alienated conservatives with critiques of capitalism and climate change.
