“I was sitting here on the chair when I heard two loud sounds. From the blast, the chair flew with me over to here, and I fell down into the lower field. Then I got up and ran from below to the other side.”

5. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Ali Damen, witness and resident of Braiqaa:
“We were sitting on the balcony here when suddenly there was an extremely loud sound, a very powerful blast that shook us and lifted us from our place. I ran down to the road and saw smoke and fire rising, and people running away. I ran to this car and found a child and his mother inside. My wife’s nephew carried the child, and I carried the woman. We took them away and placed them in a car.”

STORYLINE:
Three Lebanese soldiers were killed after ammunition a Lebanese army vehicle was carrying exploded, the army said in a statement.
The circumstances in which the explosion happened were unclear.
The destroyed vehicle could be seen at the site of the blast, along with a heavy army presence.
One witness, Ali Damen, said: "We were sitting on the balcony here when suddenly there was an extremely loud sound, a very powerful blast that shook us and lifted us."
