STORYLINE:
Supporters of an Islamist party in Pakistan rallied on Sunday in Islamabad to show solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The protesters shouted anti-Israeli and anti-American slogans while marching in the Pakistani capital carrying Palestinians flags.
The head of Jamaat-e-Islami party, Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman had called for solidarity rallies across the country on Sunday
"On this historic occasion, I want to urge all political parties in Pakistan—despite countless differences—to unite for the cause of Palestine, to stand together for Kashmir, and to feel the pain of innocent, defenceless children," he said.
