Crowds gathered Monday outside the Basilica de San José de Flores, the childhood church of Pope Francis in Buenos Aires.
The church is said to be where Pope Francis, then known as Jorge Mario Bergoglio, had the revelation that led him to become a priest.
The late pontiff’s funeral will be held on Saturday, the Vatican announced on Tuesday.
