Ukraine reports fighting despite Putin’s ‘Easter truce’ | DW News

Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Russia is continuing to attack Ukraine, despite Vladimir Putin’s unexpected declaration of an Easter ceasefire.
The Ukrainian President said his country would respect the truce if Russia kept to it. And he responded to the Russian president by proposing to extend the ceasefire for another 30 days. Putin ordered a halt to fighting to mark the Christian holy day. However Kyiv said clashes were continuing on border regions, though there’s been no independent verification of the claims.
