STORYLINE:
Israeli forces bombed dozens of tents in Khan Yunis at dawn on Sunday, after a warning to evacuate the area.
The bombing did not kill or injure any displaced persons, but it did leave dozens of displaced families homeless in the Gaza Strip.
“There were 150 tents here, 150 families in this area, there are no tents left, not anything left, nothing left,” said Mohammad Errigib, a displaced man from Khan Younis.
“Our homes were destroyed, our tents were destroyed, what will we do next? Where will we go?,” Errigib added.
Raed Errigib, one of the displaced people who lost his tent due to the bombing, said that an UNRWA center was also targeted in the same area.
“They bombed the aid distribution center, which is affiliated with the Relief Agency for Refugees (UNRWA),” Errigib said.
Israel has vowed to seize large parts of Gaza to pressure Hamas to release the remaining 59 hostages.
Twenty-four hostages are believed to be alive.
It’s a tactic that rights groups say is a war crime.
