Kenya halts kidney transplants after DW investigation | DW News

These organs are then sold on to recipients in Germany and elsewhere for up to €200,000 ($222,000), earning traffickers substantial profits. Following its publication, the investigation prompted Kenyan authorities to act and put an end to the transplants, as well as suspending responsible officials.
