"The Yemeni people took to the streets today to deliver a message to the world that the aims of the American and Israeli enemies by their aggression against the Yemeni people to terrify, scare and subjugate the Yemenis have failed and will fail. These Yemeni people took to the streets in millions to tell the arrogant (nations) in this world that we don’t break and we don’t lose because we have a relationship with God, we rely on God and gain our strength from God, therefore no tyrant power in the world can conquer them because they get their strength, confidence and help from God."

STORYLINE:
Thousands of Yemenis took to the streets of Sanaa on Friday to show solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and to protest intense U.S. airstrikes targeting Houthi rebels.

The U.S. has moved from solely targeting launch sites to firing at ranking personnel as well as dropping bombs in city neighborhoods, an Associated Press review of the operation shows.

It comes after the Iran-backed Houthis threatened to resume attacking “any Israeli vessel” and have repeatedly fired at Israel over the country’s refusal to allow aid into the Gaza Strip.

Since its start, the U.S. airstrikes targeting the rebels over their attacks on shipping in Mideast waters — related to the Israel-Hamas war — have killed over 100 people, according to casualty figures released this week by the Houthis.
