A federal judge has called on the Trump administration to give more information on what steps are being taken to bring back a man who was unlawfully deported to El Salvador.
Kilmar Ábrego García was mistakenly removed from the US in error last month and is now being held in a maximum security prison.
Ábrego García’s supporters gathered outside a courthouse in Maryland, US, where a status hearing was held, after the White House was given a two-week deadline to provide documents related to his case.
Both US President Donald Trump and El Salvador President Nayib Bukele are refusing to have him returned to the US.
