STORYLINE:
The Hong Kong International Film Festival kicked off with a red carpet event bringing together one of Hong Kong’s biggest stars – Louis Koo – and renowned Japanese actor Ando Sakura.
The cast of movie “Pavane for an Infant” – directed by Malaysian filmmaker Chong Keat-aun – also appeared on the red carpet with the movie’s stars Ben Yuen and actress Fish Liew in attendance.
Japanese director Nakashima Tetsuya’s movie “The Brightness Sun” opened this year’s festival, which will feature nearly 200 films from 69 countries and regions.
The 49th Hong Kong International Film Festival runs until 21 April.
