STORYLINE:
Daily life in Bangkok continued with its usual busy traffic and lunchtime rush on Wednesday as Asian shares slid after the launch of the latest set of U.S. tariffs.
Asian and European shares slid on Wednesday, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 dipping more than 4%, as the latest tariffs including a massive 104% levy on Chinese imports took effect.
Last week US President Donald Trump announced 36% tariffs on Thailand.
Wednesday saw Thailand’s stock exchange (SET) shed 0.8%.
