“Ukraine unconditionally supported US proposal for interim full ceasefire. Ukraine is not the obstacle for peace. Now, ball is on Russia side. And you see, yesterday we got another response from the Russian side. They massively attacked Kharkiv, totally. They used more than 70 drones attacking our civilian infrastructure. Now, I think it is obvious who wants peace and who wants war. We must get Russia serious about peace. We must pressure Russia into peace. We must not allow Russia to drag its feet.”

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Andrii Sybiha, Ukrainian Foreign Minister:
"The recipe how to speed up peace efforts is very simple. Engagement and leadership of the US. And yesterday, Marco Rubio first time attended a meeting in such a format that’s really very important, to raise the pressure on Russia, to raise the price for Russia to continue further aggression. And we have enough instruments, I mean sanctions, I mean frozen assets, further isolation. And the third point, to strengthen Ukraine, deterrence package, to strength our future negotiations position.” Sybiha walks away from camera
STORYLINE:
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha told reporters at a NATO meeting in Brussels on Friday that his country had "unconditionally supported" the US-mediated ceasefire plan and it was now up to Russia to show they are "serious about peace."

"Now, ball is on Russia side. And you see, yesterday we got another response from the Russian side. They massively attacked Kharkiv, totally. They used more than 70 drones attacking our civilian infrastructure," Sybiha said as he arrived for the meeting of alliance foreign ministers.

"Now, I think it is obvious who wants peace and who wants war," he added.

Britain and France on Friday accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of dragging his feet in ceasefire talks aimed at halting his country’s invasion of Ukraine and demanded a swift response from Moscow after weeks of U.S. efforts to secure a truce.

Russia has effectively rejected a U.S. proposal for a full and immediate 30-day halt in the fighting. A Kremlin official said Monday that Moscow views efforts to end its more than three-year war with Ukraine as “a drawn-out process.”
