Police Ask Public to Stop Spreading Misinformation About Track Death

The police chief in Frisco, Texas, is calling for people to stop spreading misinformation about the stabbing death of track star Austin Metcalf, 17. An athlete from a rival high school, Karmelo Anthony, 17, is charged with first-degree murder. The victim’s father, Jeff Metcalf, is also making an appeal for people not to comment on the case if they do not know what happened. Anthony, who is claiming self-defense, was hailed a hero in 2021 after saving a 6-year-old from drowning in a hotel pool.
