“The industry as a whole is obviously digesting a lot of these tariff changes. We are in a good position as the No. 1 U.S. automaker, both from a vehicle assembly standpoint, as well as an hourly auto worker standpoint. We produce 80% of what we sell in the U.S. is actually made in the United States, so relatively speaking, we’re in good shape. But the whole industry is digesting a lot of the changes. We’re working very closely with the administration right now to be able to get clarity in certain areas.”

STORYLINE:
Ford Motor Co. is offering employee pricing to customers on a range of vehicles, a 60-day move an executive says the automaker is undertaking to provide stability during “a moment of uncertainty.”
Frick spoke to The Associated Press in a videoconferencing interview Friday from a manufacturing facility in Dearborn, Michigan, not far from the automaker’s headquarters.
The “From America, For America” campaign started Thursday and runs through June 2.
