It may be a Friday morning at this English pub, but the place is alive with song. It’s a vibrant community, many of whose members are living with dementia. One volunteer told CBS News, "Soon as you walk in, dementia just goes out the window. It’s just like each person is valued and loved so much." Each week, the watering hole, typically named the Gerard Arms, becomes the Loving Arms: a place for people with dementia and their caregivers and loved ones.
