The death of Clem Burke, the drummer for Blondie, was announced on the group’s social media accounts, following a "private battle with cancer." Rolling Stone Magazine placed Burke at number 61 of their 100 greatest drummers of all time. As news of Burke’s death was made public, countless fellow musicians shared their grief and their praises. But his Blondie bandmates may have put it best, when they wrote, "Clem was not just a drummer; he was the heartbeat of Blondie."
