STORYLINE:
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said Turkey was doing its utmost to make Syria a Turkish protectorate during a news briefing in Paris on Thursday.
His comments came after a meeting with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot.
"They have aspirations all over the region and in other regions of the world," Saar said of Turkey.
He also expressed Israel’s concerns about Turkey’s "aggressive attitude" towards the Kurdish autonomy, particularly in the northern part of Syria.
