1. SOUNDBITE (English) Nick Hague, NASA astronaut:
"The initial part is really just you readapting physically, getting used to being in gravity again. And we’ve been back two weeks and, you know, pretty close to 100%, feeling good. So that phase is behind. And, you know, now it’s spending time with family and friends and reconnecting with the people that you really didn’t have a great chance to stay connected with while you were gone."

2. SOUNDBITE (English) Suni Williams, NASA astronaut:
"But it’s amazing to come back and friends and family, of course, you’re, you know, surrounded by them, but then, really humbling to see the love and support from so many people, you know, around the country, around the globe who were wishing us well and wanting us to come home safely. So that’s, I think my overwhelming feeling humbling."

3. SOUNDBITE (English) Butch Wilmore, NASA astronaut:
"My wife has decided that we are going to replace all of our shrubs at our house, and we don’t want to wait until summer to do that. And we’ve got – I live on a corner so it’s like 170 feet of shrubs. So I’ve got to get my body ready to dig holes. That’s what I’m focused on. Rehab. Yeah."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Suni Williams, NASA astronaut:
"I went home, my husband opened the door. You know, there’s, like 200 pounds of Labrador Retriever coming at you. I sort of bend down a little bit, and, they’re both a little bit crazy wagging their tails. One of them tries to play hard to get, so he couldn’t help himself. He was all happy, but then he had to grab a stick and and sort of run around and say like ‘hey, come on, chase me now.’"

5. SOUNDBITE (English) Butch Wilmore, NASA astronaut:
"We want to hear from them (Boeing). We want to hear where they’re at. And we’re going to share some things that we have not been able to say face to face and share some thoughts, share some history, things that may not – they may not be aware of, things that took place in the years leading up. And because it’s not for pointing fingers, it’s just to make the path clearer going forward about what we feel is required to make this overall program a success."

SOUNDBITE (English) Suni Williams, NASA astronaut:
"Yeah, I want them to also know that we’re all in, you know. We have a vested interest many years that we’ve worked with, you know, NASA and the commercial crew program and Boeing to make the spacecraft successful. So it’s not like we’re abandoning it. We have input and we want to hear their input and really together make this a successful program."

STORYLINE:
NASA astronauts Nick Hague, Suni Williams, and Butch Wilmore said the support they received from the public is "humbling" following their return to Earth on March 18.

Wilmore stressed during an interview with The Associated Press that he wants to "to share some things that we have not been able to say face to face" with Boeing.

"It’s not for pointing fingers," Wilmore added, "it’s just to make the path clearer going forward about what we feel is required to make this overall program a success."

"We have input and we want to hear their input and really together make this a successful program," noted Suni Williams.

SpaceX recently ferried the astronauts home after more than nine months at the International Space Station, filling in for Boeing that returned to Earth without them last year.
