After Le Pen’s conviction: How big will the protests called by the far right be? | DW News

Europe’s far-right leaders are rallying around Marine Le Pen – the figurehead of France’s National Rally party. On Monday she was found guilty of embezzling European Parliament funds and banned from standing for public office for five years. That decision effectively stops her from running in France’s 2027 presidential election. US President Donald Trump has even compared the case to his own legal troubles.
