STORYLINE:
Protesters continued to demonstrate Wednesday against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s moves to oust top officials and his handling of hostages still being held in Gaza.

“Under the rain, the hot weather, detained, treated with violence, we will be standing against injustice, and ready to pay any price,” said Efrat Rayten-Marom, an opposition Knesset member.

Yehuda Cohen, the father of hostage Nimrod Cohen who is still captive in Gaza, accused Netanyahu wanting “the hostages to be dead.”

“Only a civil rebellion will bring back the hostages, only a civil rebellion will save this country,” Cohen told the crowd gathered outside Netanyahu’s office in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu has been facing mass protests over his decision to resume the war in Gaza while hostages still remain in Hamas’ hands, and over his government’s recent moves to fire top legal and security chiefs.
