2. SOUNDBITE (French) Plaintiff:
“I am little relieved. I’ve been eating my heart out for several days. I’ve had to put up with this defence full of delaying tactics to try and stall. It’s hard to hear your story in any other way, falsified, twisted in every direction. And to be a spectator of it. So, I was really happy to be able to talk and to be able to confront Monsieur Assous (Jérémie Assous, actor Gérard Depardieu’s lawyer).”

4. SOUNDBITE (French) Plaintiff:
“I am calm. When you know the truth, when you know your story, there’s no reason to get upset. I know it by heart, the story, everything. It’s that simple."
5. Mid of Assous talking to people outside courtroom
6. SOUNDBITE (French) Plaintiff:
“It was harder to face Jérémie Assous than Gérard Depardieu because I had faced Gerard Depardieu already. I had to continue working with him on a film after the assault. But yes, I’m not afraid of Gerard Depardieu. But I’m also not afraid of Jérémie Assous."

8. SOUNDBITE (French) Plaintiff:
“I found him (Gerard Depardieu) very calm. I thought he behaved really well compared to what I had seen of him in the past.
Reporter (French): "It wasn’t the man you knew?
Plaintiff (French): "No"
Reporter (French): "Can you explain the difference?"
Plaintiff (French): "The calm, but I think he might be also conscious of the gravity of the situation and he is changing."

10. SOUNDBITE (French) Plaintiff:
"I think that the women of my generation accepted a lot of things. Not out of malice, but out of habit, I am not certain. Maybe I needed to find myself under attack to realize that and to mature perhaps, it took me perhaps two years to mature and understand that I had to take a stand on this.”
11. Wide of courtroom exteriors and Assous
12. SOUNDBITE (French) Plaintiff:
Reporter (French): "Do you agree to talk to the media, we need to know if you agree to talk to the media, to the AP"
Plaintiff (French): "Ah yes, look around you, I talked, yes”

STORYLINE:
A plaintiff in the trial of Gérard Depardieu said on Tuesday she felt relieved to speak in the courtroom and confront the actor’s defence team.
“I’ve been eating my heart out for several days,” the plaintiff said, saying she had to watch from the sidelines as a spectator as the defence "twisted" her story "in every direction".
Asked about her state of mind, the plaintiff said she was calm.
“When you know the truth, when you know your story, there’s no reason to get upset."
She added she wasn’t afraid to face Depardieu or his lawyer Jeremie Assous.
Day two of the Paris trial centered on the 76-year-old actor’s behaviour during filming of “Les Volets Verts” (“The Green Shutters”), where two co-workers allege he groped them on set in 2021.
Depardieu has denied assaulting the women.
In his testimony on Tuesday, Depardieu acknowledged that he aggressively subjected a woman who accuses him of sexual assault to vulgar and heated language and that he grabbed her hips but denied that his behaviour was sexual.
Depardieu said he’d been in a “bad mood" because the set was hot, which was hard for him because he is overweight.
But he insisted that he isn’t a sexual predator, saying: “I don’t touch women’s butts.”
The verdict isn’t expected immediately after the trial.
