Myanmar junta continues airstrikes despite earthquake rescue efforts | DW News

The military regime in Myanmar says more than 1,600 people were killed and thousands more injured in Friday’s earthquake. An international relief effort is gathering pace, with the UK pledging nearly 13 million dollars in aid, and Russia and China also offering assistance. But the disaster has not put a stop to fighting in Myanmar’s civil war.
