STORYLINE:
Dozens of immigrants rights supporters rallied Monday in front of the federal courthouse in San Francisco where a judge held a hearing over the Trump administration’s termination of temporary protected status for Venezuelan immigrants.
The Department of Homeland Security’s move affects more than 600,000 TPS holders from Venezuela. About 350,000 of them have work authorizations that are set to expire on April 2.
The National TPS Alliance, which represents tens of thousands of TPS holders, filed a lawsuit challenging the administration’s termination of the protections.
