6. SOUNDBITE (English) Albert Collins, resident, speaking to a representative for U.S. Rep. John Rose, R-Tennessee:

"These people are citizens and they’re rightly afraid of losing their benefits. And we’re tired of the lies that we’re being told and everything that they say that they’re trying not to do and one of the things they’re saying is that they’re not going to attack Social Security and yet all the actions they’re taking is attacking Social Security. So we want to get that message across that first of all we’re getting tired of being lied to, we’re getting tired of not being listened to and that we’re all here to make sure that everyone understands that Social Security, millions of people depend on it."
8. SOUNDBITE (English) Mandy Cook, resident, speaking to a representative for U.S. Rep. John Rose, R-Tennessee:

11. SOUNDBITE (English) Henry DeGroot, resident:
"They’re already making it difficult for senior citizens to get Social Security, to make changes in their Social Security. And that’s just the first step in in trying to take it away from people and so we don’t want to be lied to. We’re tired of being lied to. We’re tired of being ignored and we’re here now to make sure that that is heard by as many people as we can get to."
