"If Netanyahu wanted to return the hostages still in captivity, he would lay out Netanyahu’s plan for ending the war and returning everyone. But Netanyahu is only interested in Netanyahu. The blood of every hostage who dies in captivity is at the hands of Netanyahu and his government."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Naama Weinberg, cousin of deceased hostage Itay Svirsky:
"Netanyahu is using deceitful tactics to sway and influence the U.S. administration. He even managed to convince you, sir (U.S. President Donald Trump), that destroying Hamas takes precedence to saving the lives of our hostages, but that is a lie. Israel’s top security priority is bringing home our living hostages for rehabilitation and healing and bringing our deceased hostages to proper burial."

STORYLINE:
Relatives of Gaza hostages called for a ceasefire and immediate release of all the remaining abductees in their weekly statements on Saturday in Tel Aviv.

"The blood of every hostage who dies in captivity is at the hands of Netanyahu and his government," said Merav Svrsky, sister of deceased hostage Itay Svirsky.

Naama Weinberg is the cousin of deceased hostage Itay Svirsky and also spoke at the rally.

"Netanyahu is using deceitful tactics to sway and influence the U.S. administration," she said.

It comes a day after Israel said it would carry out operations in Gaza “with increasing intensity” until Hamas frees the 59 hostages it holds — 24 of whom are believed to be alive.

Israeli strikes on Friday night killed at least nine people, including three children, in a house in Gaza City, according to Al-Ahli Hospital, which received the bodies.

Israel’s military said Friday its forces were planning fresh assaults into three neighborhoods west of Gaza City and issued warnings on social media for Palestinians to evacuate the areas.

Around 600 Palestinians have been killed since Israel relaunched the war earlier this week. Israel had already cut off the supply of food, fuel, and humanitarian aid to Gaza’s roughly 2 million Palestinians, aiming to pressure Hamas over ceasefire negotiations.
