“Doctors announced this evening that Pope Francis after over a month in the hospital will be going home Sunday to the Vatican. The Pope has been battling pneumonia in both his lungs and in a press conference this evening with reporters doctors said there were two respiratory crisis during which he nearly lost his life.”

“They had to put in on mechanical ventilation with a mask during the night and he has been getting oxygen flows through tubes in his nose during the day. They say he has been stable now for two weeks and he can go back to his residence, Santa Marta, at the Vatican but he will require 2 months of convalescence. His Vatican doctor was also here this evening and he said that they have fixed up his residence with all the necessary equipment and materials including oxygen to take care of the Pope during the next two months. Vatican officials say it is too early to say what activities the Pope will be able to participate in including for Easter.”

STORYLINE:
Doctors in Rome announced on Saturday evening that Pope Francis, after over a month in the hospital, would be going home on Sunday to the Vatican.

The pope has been battling pneumonia in both his lungs and in a press conference this evening with reporters doctors said there were two respiratory crisis during which he nearly lost his life.

They had to put him on mechanical ventilation with a mask during the night and he has been getting oxygen through tubes in his nose during the day.
