"Yeah we weren’t told anything and finally in ten minutes or so, after we read the news post, the pilot came on and said, ‘I’m sure that all of you got online and figured it out, Heathrow had a fire and there’s a power outage. We’re just waiting here until British Airlines operations tells us what to do next."

"I don’t know why we didn’t collectively disembark but they encouraged us to say on because they couldn’t cancel the flight at all. So several hours later, poor guy, he would chime in and he’d be like, ‘Well this is your thirty minute update and there’s no update, and he was really nice."

"Okay, now that we have something we’re fine, but it’s just like, initially we were very much anti-, we were anti-British Airways, we were anti-everything, we were very angry and upset and were just so tired having to do that the whole night, and just being uncertain. So that was very tiring."

STORYLINE:
London’s Heathrow Airport says it plans to resume some flights later Friday and hopes to return to a full schedule on Saturday.
The airport said in a statement that the first flights will be to bring stranded passengers back from other European airports and to get planes back in the right place.
Heathrow was closed Friday after a fire at a nearby electrical substation cut power to Europe’s busiest airport.
Flight tracking service FlightRadar 24 says at least 1,350 flights were affected, and the impact will likely be felt for several days.
Authorities don’t know what caused the fire, but they say they haven’t found any evidence yet that it was suspicious.
