Witnesses in the occupied West Bank say Israeli settlers beat up Hamdan Ballal, one of the Palestinian directors of the Oscar-winning film “No Other Land.”
Jewish-American activists who filmed the incident say they were also attacked by the settlers. Footage posted online shows Ballal being taken away by Israeli soldiers. Israel’s army accuses Ballal of throwing rocks when it arrived at the scene of clashes between Palestinians and the Israeli settlers.
