Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he welcomes a proposed limited ceasefire with Russia, but needs to see more details. Zelenskyy says he’s open to pausing attacks on energy infrastructure if Russia does the same. His comments follow a phone call between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. Despite those talks, air-raid sirens sounded in the Ukrainian capital on Tuesday night – with reports of Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. President Zelenskyy accuses Russia of trying to drag out the war. President Putin has so far rejected Washington’s push for a full 30-day ceasefire – insisting that any long-term deal would be contingent on the West halting all military aid for Ukraine. But in a FOX News interview after his call with the Russian leader, US President Donald Trump denied reports that Putin had demanded an end to foreign aid as a condition for a ceasefire.
