Ihor Brusylo, the deputy head of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s office, said Kyiv expects to be briefed on Wednesday by the US about the outcome of the phone call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. "There will be news by the end of the day," Brusylo told Bloomberg’s Oliver Crook. In a call that lasted two and a half hours, Putin refused to give Trump the 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine he and his team had demanded on the path toward ending the three-year conflict, agreeing only to halt strikes on energy infrastructure.
