2. SOUNDBITE (English) Isaac Ukwu, athlete:
"You can’t let your entire identity be football. You have to allow yourself to indulge in the other things in your life that you enjoy doing that you could possibly see yourself doing. Because I had to do that while I was rehabbing. Like when I, when I tore my ACL after when I was rehabbing and doing all that stuff, I wasn’t able to play in the games. I wasn’t able to practice. I did a podcast with my friends, you know, just doing creative stuff and that really put everything in perspective. And it’s just been an inkling that I’ve been trying to itch for a while. But now finally being in a league after my first year with last year, where I actually have an offseason and I’m not doing class, I’m not doing spring ball. Nothing like that. I was like, let me dive headfirst into this and really take this seriously and see what I can get out of it."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Cam Hayward, athlete:
"They let you know that there’s a way to enter that door. You know, I just love that. It’s not like you have to come from a film background. But if you are appreciating films and you’re a fan of it, you know there’s a space for you."

6. SOUNDBITE (English) Deon Taylor, director:
"We should be educating athletes on how to actually create content, make IP themselves, but then more importantly, being a sound information highway for them to understand how they could take something that was great in their life or something that was painful in their lives, and tweak it and make it become something that could be content."

8. SOUNDBITE (English) Ephraim Salaam, writer:
"The number one thing I always tell them is look. Number one, you’re one of one. Less than 0.1% of the population can do what you’ve done already. You’ve already climb a mountain. Made it to the league. Some guys played ten, 12, 13, 14. However long you made it, you’ve done the impossible already. Everything else, it’s cake, right? You’ve been able to look and see life through a lens very few people have. So that information is valuable in a writer’s room."

"It’s like if I was in high school and I had access to Dan Campbell, there’s, just talk to me and coach me up a little bit on some things that can lead to my success in the future. So it’s really invaluable right now to have it."
