The debt brake is killed for all the military expenses. Only 1% of the GDP is in the normal budget, and the rest is illimited. First, they had discussed if it should be €400 or €500 billion. But I think the idea was if Vladimir Putin knows that Germany is able to buy 2,000 tanks, he will build 3,000. And so, he can calculate what we can afford or not afford. So, it was the decision to make no limits for that and, on the other hand, to balance this for domestic politics and for the Social Democrats and also for the population who could ask: Well, we can afford tanks and airplanes for the military and so on, but we have a railway which doesn’t work and so on. We have another €500 billion for infrastructure.
