I hate bullies, and that’s my biggest trigger. So seeing what has been going on in that community and having so many friends and colleagues, you know, in the in the community of LGBTQ, I just couldn’t sit idly by."

"Yeah, I worry about especially the young people, you know, who, with so much hatred around, that’s it’s terrible for them. I mean, you know, I think of how hard it is just to be, you know, to be a teenager anyway and then to put that on top of you. It’s terrible."

"Yeah. I mean he was you know, you watch movies, especially when you’re growing up and you kind of go, you see old movies and there’s a certain style of acting, and then you see other movies and there’s another style of acting. Gene was a guy who I always felt, wasn’t… I didn’t feel like I was watching a performance. You know, when I saw the movie, ‘The Conversation,’ I’m just going like, who is that guy? Like, I kind of knew he was a star, but it’s like, I thought they actually found, like a real guy to be in the movie. So that always stuck with me. And then every performance I saw of his after that. You know, I love realism. I like heightened characters, but I like what they play is very real. And so Gene was just a master."
