1. SOUNDBITE (English) Diane Warren, songwriter, nominated for song "The Journey" from "The Six Triple Eight" – on no musical performances at the show:
"In 2021 I was nominated as well and they had a free show, which you at least, at least they performed the songs. It was, it was on… I don’t know if anybody really saw it. I don’t know if anybody knew that, but there were technically no songs in there. It would have honestly been, I think people would have loved to have seen her especially. ‘The Journey’ is being used everywhere right now on, you know, it’s a pretty powerful song with what’s going on in the city and in the world right now. So it would have been nice. And Elton John and you know, I think people would like to have seen these performers, but it wasn’t up to me. "
