STORYLINE:
Princess Astrid of Belgium began her week-long visit to India on Monday, aimed at strengthening economic and defence ties between both nations.
Astrid, joined by Belgian Deputy Prime Minister, Maxime Prevot, and Matthias Diependaele, Minister-President of Flanders, attended a seminar on "Water & Waste management solutions for a climate resilient world" in New Delhi.
The royal is scheduled to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
India-Belgium bilateral trade was around US $15.07 billion in 2023-2024, according to Indian Press Information Bureau.
