Firefighters were battling multiple wildfires that erupted across South and North Carolina overnight amid windy and dry conditions, threatening homes and prompting evacuations, authorities said.
Footage shows large plumes of smoke rising from a hillside near Saluda, North Carolina and another wildfire near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina sending flames and smoke up into the air.
