STORYLINE:
The Argentine-Jewish community on Monday gathered to mourn the deaths of hostages while in captivity in Gaza.
They also called on Hamas to release the remaining hostages during a protest in Buenos Aires.
During the event, Israel’s Ambassador to Argentina condemned the handling of the bodies of the Bibas family.
“The way Ariel and Kfir’s bodies were handed over, and what they did with Shiri’s remains, are among the most brutal, most macabre expressions of evil in our world," Eyal Sela said.
That remark followed demands from the Jewish community for Hamas to hand over the correct body for Shiri Bibas, an Argentine national.
A two-day period of national mourning in Argentina began on Sunday in honor of the Bibas family.
