I would refer you to the competent authorities for the specific question. China is ready to develop friendly relations and cooperation with the Cook Islands and other Pacific island countries on the basis of mutual respect and equal treatment to promote common development and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.”

STORYLINE:
China on Monday expressed opposition to a memorandum signed by U.S. President Donald Trump that further curbs Chinese investments in strategic sectors.
In a press release, the White House said the paper signed Friday, titled “America First Investment Policy,” aims to promote foreign investment while protecting the U.S. national security interests, particularly from threats posed by “foreign adversaries” like China.
But he added that China’s distant fishing operation and cooperation with North Korea were conducted in compliance with international law.
