“Few can stay indifferent to what’s going around the Kyiv regime, which excludes the opportunity of peace talks and doesn’t want to establish peace, and of course, because few can stay indifferent, it leads to emotional comments.”

“(Russian) President (Vladimir) Putin remains open to the Ukrainian settlement through peace talks. We have our goals related to our national security and national interests and we are ready to achieve our goals through peace talks. We consider further sponsoring of the war wrong, the efficiency of such sponsorship, as it is already recognised, is quite low and it rather encourages a disgusting corruption environment.”

“There is an understanding of the need of such a meeting that was confirmed during a meeting of Russian and US delegations in Riyadh. There is a will of the two presidents they have voiced and there is also a need to prepare this meeting well so that it brings the maximum results. During the preparation all the nuances will be discussed.”

“This is not true. Our position regarding the expansion of NATO’s military infrastructure toward our borders carried out in nearly ten waves over several years causes a great concern. Our position is well known, it’s not a secret to anyone.”

STORYLINE:
The Kremlin said on Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin "remains open" to ending the conflict in Ukraine through peace talks.
"We have our goals related to our national security and national interests and we are ready to achieve our goals through peace talks," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
When asked about Elon Musk’s comments alleging corruption in Ukrainian, Peskov said: "Few can stay indifferent to what’s going around the Kyiv regime, which excludes the opportunity of peace talks and doesn’t want to establish peace, and because few can stay indifferent it leads to emotional comments."
Peskov said that details had yet to be worked out on a potential meeting in Saudi Arabia between Putin and US President Donald Trump.
"There is a will of the two presidents they have voiced and there is also a need to prepare this meeting well so that it brings the maximum results. During the preparation all the nuances will be discussed,” he said.
When asked about a claim that Russia called for the withdrawal of NATO troops from eastern Europe during US-Russian talks this week, Peskov denied that, but reaffirmed Moscow’s long-time concern about the deployment of the Alliance’s forces on the eastern flank.
