STORYLINE:
For the first time since the devastating California wild fires in January members of the Masjid Al-Taqwa, a mosque in Altadena that was gutted in the Eaton fire, gathered together for prayer, a meal, and support.
In more than four decades, this is the first time this tight-knit, diverse Muslim community finds itself without a place to gather, pray and break their fast together during the holy month of Ramadan, less than a week away.
Farzana Asaduzzaman and her family, who lost their home in the fire, were among the roughly 20 people who gathered on Saturday in the multi-purpose room of New Horizon Islamic School in Pasadena.
Although they no longer have a physical mosque to gather, she is not worried.
