"I feel sad that the father is going through this situation but I have faith that God is going to take him through and I think it is something nice, such a nice gesture, that all the churches come together, especially here when he gave mass in this church. If I remember correctly, I saw him when I was little, he gave mass in this church."

Tras confirmarse que el papa Francisco padece una neumonía bilateral, las iglesias católicas en su país natal Argentina se unieron en oración el martes por su pronta mejoría.
La Conferencia Episcopal Argentina invitó a “todas las comunidades del país a unirse en oración” y “pedirle al Señor que le conceda una pronta recuperación”.
El Vaticano no ha indicado cuánto tiempo podría permanecer hospitalizado Francisco, pero apuntó que el tratamiento de un “cuadro clínico complejo” como el que padece, que ya ha requerido dos cambios en su régimen de medicamentos, requeriría de una estancia “adecuada”.
Francisco partió rumbo a Roma en 2013 para participar del cónclave de obispos que finalmente lo eligió como sucesor de Benedicto XVI, quien había renunciado. En 12 años de pontificado, el papa argentino jamás volvió a su país natal.
