"It feels amazing. We don’t usually do a red carpet before a show, so it feels very special and kind of funny. We have a show to do in just under two hours, and being back is an amazing privilege. I love the people I work with. I have nothing but really fine slash anxious memories of working on the show and it’s all coming back again."

"I think SNL was the biggest influence on pop culture and used comedy and music to kind of reflect back to us where we were. So the show is constantly doing that and being a part of that like living organism is really cool. I grew up with the show, you know, and I was born in 1971 and it’s lived with me my whole life. So it feels amazing to be here."

"The whole week. It’s an interesting week. I’ve hosted now a couple of times so I kind of get a sense of how it’s done. But one of the things that is surprising is just how much they’re able to get done in a short amount of time. And if you’re filming like a, you know, a Lonely Island video or a digital short, whatever it is, it’s like you’re kind of doing that around what the regular schedule is. So it’s really, I mean, an all encompassing week. And sometimes you can put in more time than others if you want to work on sketches with the writers. It’s a very creatively fulfilling and exhausting week, but a lot of fun."

"I think my first day was it was very much akin to like, ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’ Like, I couldn’t believe I was inside the factory. Certainly it can be stressful. Certainly it’s draining. It’s definitely the hardest job I’ve ever had in my life, but it’s prepared me for every job since. The highs are the highest and sometimes the lows are lows but an occasion like this, a gathering like this, when you’re reflecting and you’re celebrating, all the bad stuff goes away and all you remember are the good moments."
