700,000 turtles gather in India to nest | DW News

Over 700,000 Olive Ridley turtles, one of the smallest sea turtle species, have gathered on Rushikulya Beach in India for their annual mass nesting. This unique event, lasting around 10 days, sees the endangered turtles lay over 100 eggs each, with the hatchlings emerging after 50 days to make their way to the ocean.’
